3. File Processing & Privacy

All file processing — PDF, image, video, audio, and text — happens 100% inside your browser using client-side technologies (WebAssembly, Canvas API, Web Audio API, PDF.js). Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party server. We have zero access to the content of your files at all times.

4. Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage to store:

• Daily usage count — A simple number tracking how many tool uses you've made today (limit: 500/day). This resets at midnight local time.
• Tool preferences — Settings like personal bests in the CPS Test, Aim Trainer scores, and similar per-tool state.
• Service worker cache — Cached page assets for offline access.

All localStorage data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

5. Analytics

We use the following third-party analytics services to understand overall site traffic and improve our tools:

• Google Analytics (gtag.js) — Collects anonymized page view and session data. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• Ahrefs Analytics — Collects anonymized page view data for SEO analysis. Governed by Ahrefs' Privacy Policy.

These services use cookies or similar technologies. They do not have access to your files or tool-specific data.

6. Third-Party CDN & Libraries

ToolKnit loads resources from external CDNs to deliver its tools, including Google Fonts, FFmpeg.wasm, PDF.js, JSZip, jsPDF, and Phosphor Icons. These CDN providers may log standard HTTP request data (IP address, user agent) as part of their normal operations, subject to their own privacy policies.

7. Cookies

ToolKnit itself does not set any first-party cookies. The third-party analytics services listed above (Google Analytics, Ahrefs) may set their own cookies for traffic measurement.
