Our Background Remover uses a deep learning segmentation model that runs directly in your web browser via WebAssembly and WebGL. When you first open the tool, the AI model (~40 MB) downloads once and is then cached by your browser for instant future use.
The model analyzes your image to identify the foreground subject — people, products, animals, objects — and separates it from the background with pixel-level precision. The entire process takes just a few seconds on most devices.
