What Can You Encode?
QR codes can store more than just website URLs. Our generator supports multiple data types:
- URL — Any web link. The scanner opens it directly in the browser.
- Plain text — Messages, notes, serial numbers, or any string up to ~4,000 characters.
- Wi-Fi — Network name (SSID), password, and encryption type. Guests scan to connect instantly — no typing passwords.
- Email — Pre-filled recipient, subject, and body. One scan opens a compose window.
- Phone number — Scan to dial. Great for business cards and flyers.
- SMS — Pre-filled phone number and message text.
Customization Options
- Foreground color — Change the dark modules from default black to any color.
- Background color — Change the light area from white to any color.
- Size — Set the output dimensions in pixels (default 256×256, up to 1024×1024).
- Error correction level — Low (7%), Medium (15%), Quartile (25%), or High (30%). Higher levels make the code scannable even when partially obscured or damaged.
Pro tip: Use High error correction if you plan to add a logo overlay on the QR code. The extra redundancy ensures the code still scans correctly.
How to Use
- Open the QR Code Generator
- Select your data type (URL, text, Wi-Fi, etc.)
- Enter your content

PNG vs. SVG: Which to Download?
- PNG — Best for social media, messaging, and screen use. Fixed resolution. Use for digital sharing.
- SVG — Vector format that scales to any size without pixelation. Best for print: business cards, posters, packaging, banners.
