Is my file uploaded to a server?

Conversion runs locally in your browser with PDF.js; no upload is required. A small history thumbnail may be kept in this browser on this device for recent conversions.

Which AI file versions are supported?

AI files from Adobe Illustrator CS (2004) and later that contain a PDF-compatible layer. Very old files using pure PostScript format are not supported.

Will the PNG background be transparent?

The converter renders the embedded PDF artwork. Output can have a white background, and this tool does not automatically remove backgrounds. Preview the result before using it for a logo or overlay.

Choose a size and check compatibility

For a 300 × 200 point artboard, 2x produces a 600 × 400 pixel PNG. Choose 1x for a small preview or 4x for more pixels. These options control pixel dimensions, not a guaranteed print DPI.

Choose one .ai file up to 50 MB. It must include a PDF-compatible layer. If an older PostScript file fails, ask its creator to save it again with Create PDF Compatible File enabled. Renaming another format to .ai does not create that layer.

The converter can keep a small history thumbnail in this browser on this device. Export the PNG you need; browser history is not a backup.
